We are in the final stages of the Campus Sustainability Council (CSC) Grant process, which uses student fees to fund projects that help reach the goals set out in the Blueprint for a Sustainable Campus (see the 2011 Blueprint by visiting the Student Environmental Center (SEC) website). Last Friday, February 24, our final grant proposal was submitted and we were interviewed on February 27 for further inquiry about our project. The proposed amount is $7,060, with most of the needed expenditures in outreach materials and prizes for the winning college.

Similarly this previous week, we began collaboration with Green Campus Program at UCSC regarding conjunctive outreach with a similar “mock energy statement” project.

About dyoducsc

We are a faction of the Education for Sustainable Living Program (ESLP) that will produce simulated water bills that will inform and educate on-campus apartment residents at UC Santa Cruz about their monthly water use and will encourage smarter water-use and conservation through a reduction competition.
